Eloise for Ford
“An incredible girl,” said Jeremy from Ford Models in New York when he called me and asked whether I had time and fancied taking a few photographs of the French model Eloise. A new face who had just arrived from Paris. Being very curious about this “incredible girl”, I naturally said yes and had the pleasure of establishing that he definitely had not exaggerated. It’s impossible to describe exactly what it is that makes her so special but her charm, personality and temperament were extremely compelling. She is definitely not a standard Victoria’s Secret Model and has her very own style and expression but this is also striking and perhaps precisely what makes her so special.
Now it’s certainly not the latest idea, and I’m very aware that many photographers have already headed there, but we were also attracted to Brooklyn’s industrial brick buildings and the legendary Brooklyn Bridge. Be that as it may, Eloise’s “rough attitude” required an equivalent location. You can’t simply stop off on 5th Avenue in front of Macy’s with such an expressive girl and have her pose in haute couture. A personality like Eloise has to be given space and she has to be given the chance to totally be herself and then what you get in the end can only be simply magnificent.
